Files deleted by Shredo will be permanently deleted, and the 1-pass, 7-pass, and 35-pass algorithms are supported to ensure that deleted files cannot be recovered.
Differences between different levels
- 1-pass - Faster and prevents data recovery by general data recovery tools.
- 7-pass - Slower and prevents most data recovery tools from recovering data.
- 35-pass - Not slow, but offers the best protection, basically no data recovery tool can recover deleted data.
